Change = Personal Growth

Personal Growth is one of my Favorite things in the whole world and when you toss a little creativity into the mix, well....it's just about perfection.

See...when I was younger, my mama would always tell me never to brag.

But to her, bragging was saying ANYTHING good about yourself to ANYONE.

For example, if you won the spelling bee (ahem....totally won the 6th grade spelling bee thankyouverymuch), then you shouldn't tell anyone your good news.

Nope....they were just supposed to *know*!

Now, I'm not sure what voodoo magic or telepathy was used in gaining this knowledge of my successes, because it just never happened.

Never.

Happened.

So, I struggled with feeling good about myself.

I struggled with being proud of who I was and what I had accomplished.

And lemme tell ya...personal growth?

Puhleeze....that just wasn't something that WAS back in the day.

Now...fast forward about 147 years (give or take) and I'm a Certified Master Life Coach. And if my mama were still with us here on earth, she'd probably laugh and say...."you're WHAT?"

And that would be ok.

Because times change and things change and the world changes.

But most importantly....WE change.

And THAT is what Personal Growth is all about.

Changing.

Changing for the better and changing to live your best life.

One of the ways I've changed over the years is to think less about what others think of me and more about what I think of myself.

Sounds sorta vain when you put it like that (Lawd, Mama would be having a fit about now!), but we spend so much time worrying about what others think of us when we do something, or say something or ARE something, that it takes away from who we REALLY are.

And I believe who we REALLY are leads us to who we want to be...and shows us our life purpose.

I just gotta tell ya....if ANYONE had ever asked me what my "Life Purpose" was 10 years ago, I would have looked at them like they were growing another eye!

Now I know better.

It's a giant piece of the Personal Growth Puzzle and you get to create it yourself.

You can make your puzzle as grandiose or as moderate as you want...and the creativity you put into it is all yours!

So, after the longest intro in the history of Intros, here’s the real life purpose:

Discovering our passions, who we really are, and who we want to be.

And not only who we want to be, but who we are designed to be!

Where do we start? Is this something anyone has ever asked us? Nope. Since this has never been in our focus, or even in our thoughts, we have no idea where to even start discovering our passions or any of the other pieces. So, here's a little help to get started. Click here, 0pen the document, and answer a few questions. If you can print it out, it's easy peasy.

If not, jot down the questions (or just the answers) and explore your thoughts.

Be honest with yourself...this isn't to share with anyone else (unless you want to), but more to discover who you are inside, and who you want to create from that person!

Have fun....and come back after you've finished and answered the last question on the worksheet and put that answer below.

I'd love to see how you're going to change the world....one person working creatively at a time!
