It's not always easy to do that....we are surrounded by people that are in our circle for various reasons and we want them there.
But they don't always 'get' us.
And that's ok....not everyone will.
Would it be fabulous if everyone that was in our circle DID get us?
Oh yeah.....but that's never gonna happen.
So what do you do about it?
Accept that those people that don't "get" you aren't doing it on purpose and Let. It. Go. You're doing this one for you.
And then when you're surrounded by those folks, you'll stop searching for their acceptance, and support because you know it's not coming and that's ok.
And THEN....seek out those that Do get you and make time to spend with them, too.
I don't care if it's 10 minutes a week....being in the presence of someone who "gets" you, who supports you, who wants to make sure you're living your best life is simply amazing.
Find them.
